Even though I had worked as a homebirth midwife, and before that, a doula for nearly 10 years, when I had my last two babies back to back I was a WRECK. Even with all the knowledge, applying it to life with little ones who needed me constantly left me exhausted, anxious, irritable and with new mysterious symptoms cropping up every week.
What helped change the game for me was nailing down the foundations of wellness - things that create a rooted place for me to do all the things I needed to do as a busy mama. You can't really go anywhere on your health journey- whether you're wanting to balance your hormones, detox heavy metals, work on your gut health, do xyz protocol.... they simply won't work unless your foundation is solid.

As a mama of 5 daughters, 3 I birthed myself, and last two being back to back pregnancies- I know what it's like and I dug myself out of it. I couldn't have done it without my midwifery training and experience, and the practitioners who helped me along the way. I healed from chronic PTSD and anxiety, lyme disease and mold illness and pushed back against the "bad" genetics I was dealt to create a body that knows how to detox and maintain a healthy weight effortlessly. You can do it too! I ultimately healed myself- it was ME doing the work.
